oh my goodness Alison, I haven't cried in well over a year and I am totally tearing up...just amazing! I know how you must feel. Big huge warm hugs, sister! I'm hoping to see my little guy do this one day too! ~Kerry
Fabulous walking! Demonstrates some really complex understanding too, that she needs to turn around to be able to walk off - no prompting either! Smart kid.I'm curious, have you considered trying Ashlea with a powerchair for longer distances? Using a Kaye walker is absolutely brilliant, and will be an incredibly useful skill as she grows up - but sometimes as kids get older and their environment changes (eg when old enough to walk to school, if people do that down your way) it can be a huge advantage to have another option for getting around independently - and in a way that's as fast as everybody else, lets you carry your school bag and doesn't use up much energy, to boot!PS useful trick: get sturdy stool that's low enough to fit under the back bar of the Kaye walker, means that kid can stand up from stool and walk straight off without needing to turn around.
Becca - I imagine that a powerchair is in her future at some point. Due to her developmental delay and vision problems we have held off for the time being. I don't trust her with that much freedom!!!
Awesome! Look at her go!
This is SOOOOOO good! xx.
This video has me in complete tears! She is doing AMAZING! I dream of a day that my Emily can do the same.
So so happy for you all. She is doing so well xx
Oh goodness, I can't stop smiling. I'm so happy to see her progress.
Woohoo! Can't BELIEVE how far she has come with her walking in such a short period of time. Love the vid :-).
