Party Progress

Ashlea and Audrey had a birthday party to attend today.  I am amazed at how much Ashlea's party tolerance has improved.  She tolerated the party entertainer (a fairy) - she didn't want to sit on the mat with the other children but was happy to sit close by in her wheelchair - and she then orchestrated all the other kids on the trampoline with her command of "I want to bounce", which meant they all had to bounce the trampoline for her.  She even coped with happy birthday - she knew it was coming so put her hands over her ears and started humming from well in advance until well after it was over.

There was one other big success.  Can anyone tell what it was???

How bizarre your girls had a fairy party to attend today too!

Sounds like great progress...would the other big success be allowing face painting??

First face-paint?

Yay Ashlea for spreading your beautiful wings just that little bit further...

Beat me by 4 mins Sarah!

Actually - given that Alison is the woman who managed to 'bump into' a woman whose three girls have exactly the same names - I have no doubt her kids could go to a coinciding fairy party!?!

So glad all your girls had such a lovely weekend. S xx

Wow, paint on the face! That is a huge step! With an autistic son, I know how hard that would be. I think she is growing up!

go Ashlea! that is a great achievement! My two had their faces painted in bunnings yesterday and promptly washed it all off as soon as we got home!

So fun! She really has come a long way with all this sensory stuff! I think Cici has her siblings to help with that too, just like Ashlea!
