The breathing tube is out!!!

Murray is awake and breathing on his own although still very drowsy and he has no idea what has happened.

He is still on dialysis - his creatinine this morning was 500 and his urea 25 so that is still continuing.

Ashlea is good. She had a kidney ultrasound this morning and after her lunch time medication today she is going to have a bath. Her hair is totally matted - I fear I may have to chop it all off - i will let you know how that goes!'

Thank you all for praying and supporting us - I can't wait to show Murray all the messages of support once he is up to it.

Hooray for Murray! Don't let them give him aspargus soup again...I'm sure that's when things started to do downhill. Rejoicing with you and praying on!

That's fantastic news about Murray - breathing on his own is a big and wonderful step towards recovery. Will continue praying for improved kidney function. Glad to hear Ashlea is good today. She'll still be super cute no matter how short her hair! My friends at the office have become hugh Ashlea fans!

With the matty hair, Grace had the same prob, there was a wonderful nurse in high dependency that got all the knots our of Graces hair and saved its lenght. Other than that there is a lady at Norwest that I was organising to come and cut her hair. She did say her first try would be to get the knots out. She also gave us some spray that I will try to pass on to you. Pete will be able to give you her details if it comes to that.
Wonderful news about Murray. One big step forward. Praise the Lord. Wilal keep praying. :)

Fantastic news! Have been praying for all of you. Murray's plight seems quite striking at Easter - one person taking the place of another to save them. I hope Murray keeps improving and Ashlea leaps ahead. I hope you are not getting too tired Alison, remember to look after yourself too for the road ahead. Thankyou so much for your wonderful updates - so we can pray more precisely! Love, M

Fabulous news about Murray, an answer to much prayer. Let's hope it is uphill from here. Personally I blame the asparagus. Shortage of good coffee would not help. Praying that kidney keeps improving.

As a mum to boys I am both relieved and sorry that girl-hair has not come my way. I hope Ashlea's detangles easily. Maybe some of that spray oil stuff might help? (but boys, what would I know?).

Fantastic news. I'm with Deb. He is never to have asparagus soup again... EVER. So thrilled to hear the tube is out, some improvement in the kidney courtesy of dialysis but if takes weeks to heal/repair then so be it - things are looking up, here's to staying on that path. Big Love

My vote is that the asparagus soup is innocent. It was even strained. Would one of the more common soups such as pumpkin or tomato be having such issues?

Murray you need to hurry and get better so that your meals do not go back to the kitchen dejected. (Along with many other reasons to hurry and get better, but let's deal with this lighter reason now, since the past days have been so full-on.) Into those meals Murray! (Note: Vote may be swayed due to vegetarianism.)Lots of love from Fay.
