July 24: Karate

Somehow today I got talked into letting the girls try karate lessons.

Unfortunately they enjoyed it (after school activities tend to make me a bit shouty) but it is good exercise so I will try and encourage them to keep at it.

I don't know how parents have the energy to take their kids to multiple after school activities each week.  How do you all do it???

With much wringing of hands and careful befriending & delicate negotiations with parents of other attendees to share the drop-offs and pick-ups.

Lulu is involved in out of school hours activities 4 days out of 5 and it is a total PITA...

Hope the karate helps with the anxiety too though... Did you ever look into KidsXpress for Emma?

my kids did karate for years. it was good for a variety of reasons- being comfortable in their own skin, avoiding conflict, self discipline. well worth the investment for us

Simple. I don't! All the activities we do are hooked to the school "after-care" and I just pick up after. Except swimming, one day a week, and Matt and I split up for that.
